Enroll/Cost

If you neither waive nor enroll in the student health plan during open enrollment periods then you will be automatically enrolled in the Medical University of South Carolina Student Health Insurance Plan after the enrollment period closes. The following students attending the Medical University of South Carolina are eligible and the insurance premium will be added to their tuition bill each semester along with tuition and fees, unless a waiver of coverage is submitted online showing proof of alternate insurance that meets the University’s requirements before the waiver deadline:

1. Students who are enrolled in a minimum of six (6) semester hours; and
2. Students who are enrolled in a graduate or professional degree program, in good academic standing and making appropriate progress toward graduation.

 
If you intend to enroll in the student health insurance plan, you must enroll before Aug 1st to start receiving benefits on August 1, 2024.

Click the button below to add Dependents to your Student Health Insurance Plan (after you have completed the enrollment process above) Students must be enrolled prior to enrolling their dependent(s). Premium for dependent is paid directly to AHP.

Enrollment and premium for Continuation of coverage must be received prior to the termination of current Student Health Insurance Plan coverage.

Spring -  11/15/2024 - 01/15/2025
